Here is an introduction to the Yamaha “UF-29,” launched in June Heisei 25 (2013). The hull plate is marked “UF29-2-I/B.” This boat has one key feature: the ability to hold position over a fishing spot without dropping anchor and to reposition the boat while standing at the stern. This fishing method is made possible only by the combination of three elements: a Minn Kota electric tiller that maintains position via GPS, a rear helm station, and a 12.1-inch fishfinder facing the stern. Additionally, it features a Volvo Penta D6-330 (330 horsepower) inboard diesel engine, along with an autopilot, bow thruster, and automatic trim tabs. The cabin includes a private restroom and air conditioning. It’s fully equipped with everything needed to spend a full day fishing. The engine has logged 1,063 hours (as indicated on the meter at the time of our August 2026 interview). For a boat launched in 2013, this is a modest amount of usage. Please note that the owner is still actively using the boat, so the hours will continue to increase. Please check the meter during your viewing. [Equipment for Hovering Over Fishing Spots] The bow is equipped with a Minn Kota bow-mount electric tiller (with wireless remote control). The original anchor windlass was removed, and the electric tiller was installed in its place. The boat is not equipped with an anchor windlass. The electric motor features a GPS-based position-holding function, allowing the boat to remain stationary over a specific spot without dropping anchor. We tested this function during the interview and confirmed that the boat remained stationary with the speed display showing 0.0. A battery for the electric motor has also been added to the bow. [You don’t have to return to the front seat every time you change course] At the rear of the cockpit is a rear helm station (steering wheel, forward/reverse lever, and switch panel). Additionally, at the rear end of the hardtop, there is a GPS plotter/fishfinder display facing the stern. This setup allows you to maneuver the boat while standing at the rear and view the fishfinder at the same time. 【Finding Fish】 The GPS plotter/fishfinder is a HONDEX M-121SV. It was replaced in 2026 and features a 2kW CHIRP-compatible transducer. Its large 12.1-inch screen displays two CHIRP frequencies (high and low) as well as side-scan sonar. You can view not only the terrain directly below but also the terrain and echoes to the sides. [Fishing Equipment] The deck features a livewell and a power outlet for electric reels. Possum rod holders are lined up on top of the hardtop and along the gunwales. The boat is also equipped with a casting rail (retrofitted). Caught fish are stored in the livewell under the floor. [Navigation and Handling] The autopilot is a MAROL APz-200, allowing you to take your hands off the wheel while maintaining course. The trim tabs are ZIPWAKE, a system that automatically adjusts the boat’s attitude while underway. A bow thruster is installed at the bow. The stern thruster is scheduled to be installed before delivery (at no additional cost). 【Equipment for All-Day Use】 The cabin features a private marine toilet, so you won’t have to worry about others even when traveling with passengers. The boat is equipped with a heater, and there is an air conditioner outdoor unit mounted on the hardtop. It is also equipped with an inverter and is compatible with shore power, so you can draw electricity from shore while moored. It also features a deck washer and ventilation fans. [Fuel and Range Estimates] We have been informed by the owner that the maximum speed is 32 knots.During a test run conducted for this report, we confirmed a speed of 31 knots. Please expect a cruising speed of around 23 knots. The fuel tank capacity is 300 liters. The owner has indicated that fuel consumption is approximately 35 liters per hour (this is not based on our measurements and may vary depending on usage conditions).Based on a simple calculation, a full tank provides approximately 8 hours of operation; however, allowing for a 20% reserve, the practical range is approximately 150 nautical miles. 【Vessel Inspection and Navigation Area】 The vessel inspection certificate is valid until June 23, 2031.The next inspection will be a Class 1 interim inspection in 2028. The navigation area is limited to coastal waters within 20 nautical miles of the main island’s coastline, and the passenger capacity is 9 (8 passengers and 1 crew member). [Condition] While there are signs of wear and tear commensurate with the vessel’s age, no major structural damage has been identified. Please note that this inspection was limited to areas that did not require the vessel to be hauled out (exterior, deck, cabin, engine room, and instrument operation). No disassembly and inspection of the engine or load testing of the electrical system was performed. The hull was repainted in 2026, prior to being launched this season. In footage provided by the owner taken when the vessel was out of the water (filmed at a different time than this inspection), no noticeable chips were visible on the hull plating. The condition of the propeller, rudder, and zinc anodes cannot be determined from this footage. We recommend having the vessel hauled out for inspection during your visit. There is some dirt inside the fish cage resulting from use. The seal on the seawater pump was damaged due to freezing during the winter and has been replaced. The seat in the helm is not the original equipment, but the original seat is included. [Storage and Delivery] The boat is moored at sea within Hokkaido. It will be delivered “as is.” The boat is hauled out for winter storage, and antifreeze is added to the cooling system. *A boat stand is not included. If you plan to haul the boat out for winter storage, you will need to provide your own boat stand. Please contact us for details. Please contact us regarding land transport, hauling in and out of the water, and ownership transfer procedures. [Price] The price is negotiable. Even among UF-29 models, the equipment specifications can vary significantly, so please view the actual boat before we discuss the price. [Seller & Registration] Both the seller and the registered owner are corporations (based in Hokkaido). This is a transaction subject to consumption tax, and the price quoted includes tax.
